Child Development-Community Policing Program

CDCP is a model of secondary prevention that provides crisis intervention and follow-up community- and clinic-based clinical and collaborative interventions for exposed children. It is a collaborative model between law enforcement and child mental health professionals to help parents support their children in the aftermath of crime and violence. It is comprised of two interventions. One is the Domestic Violence Home Visit Initiative and the other is the Child and Family Traumatic Stress Initiative.
