Addresses the issues facing poor, urban, African American children who deal with traumatic stress. The webinar discusses how conceptions of race and racism have an impact on these children and their families. It also presents statistics on the types of trauma African American children in urban areas experience, as well as other adverse experiences, societal traumatization, and the legacy of slavery.
