Orients you to the approach used in AF-CBT and to prepare you for an AF-CBT training. Alternatives for Families: A Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment designed to improve the relationships between children and caregivers in families involved in arguments, frequent conflict, physical force/discipline, or child physical abuse. This course is intended to introduce the model and serves as a pre-requisite for more intensive in-person training in AF-CBT.
