The mission of the Center for Child Stress & Health is to provide clinical resources for patients, families and professionals that provide primary, secondary and tertiary health prevention for children exposed to traumatic stress, especially those in rural, minority and underserved communities.The Center focuses on two primary ares: working with pediatric clinics with integrated behavioral health, developing screenings and interventions for early detection and intervention of toxic stress and conducting community based research focused on the needs of underserved populations. Trainings, both in-person and virtual, are offered locally and nationally for health professionals and early childhood educators working with children and families exposed to trauma as a result of immigration and migrant life. Resources and trainings are available in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.
