Following disasters or emergencies, the PFA Mobile™ app can assist responders who provide Psychological First Aid (PFA) to adults, families, and children. Materials in PFA Mobile™ are adapted from the Psychological First Aid Field Operations Guide (2nd Edition) . PFA Mobile™ allows responders to:
PFA Mobile™ is now available for mobile Apple devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod touch), and Android devices.
PFA Mobile™ lets responders review PFA guidelines and assess their readiness to deliver PFA in the field. The app provides additional support when the   responder is in the field by providing tips on different survivor groups (infant/toddler, preschool, school-age, adolescent, adult) and keeping track of survivor concerns and referral needs. Resource links are included to facilitate referrals. PFA Mobile™ supplements other resources that trained individuals utilize before, during, and after a disaster response.
IMPORTANT! PFA Mobile™ does not replace PFA training. To receive training, enroll in PFA online , a free 6 hour interactive course. Free continuing education credits are available.

PFA Mobile™ was funded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ National Center for PTSD  in partnership with the National Child Traumatic Stress Network , the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration , the Department of Defense's National Center for Telehealth & Technology  (T2), and the VA’s Patient Care Services .
