School Based Mental Health Program Supervisor

With over 125 years as a non-profit agency serving children and families in Minnesota, Washburn Center for Children is the leader in helping children with social, emotional and behavioral mental health problems and their families. To offer families convenient access to mental health services, Washburn Center for Children has offices in 17 area schools. Therapists work collaboratively with teachers to address social, emotional or behavioral concerns that impact a child’s academic and social success.  Currently we are looking for an individual to take on the role of the School Based Mental Health Program Supervisor. 

Clinical Performance and Documentation
1.    Provide training and assist with intakes and co-therapy as needed to support staff.
2.    Ensure that referrals and requests for services are responded to and processed quickly to help clients access services or receive triage and/or referral services.
3.    Oversee use of effective case management and crisis response services.
4.    Develop standards and training related to culturally competent clinical practice.
5.    Maintain knowledge of both established and emerging treatment practices and implement as appropriate.
6.    Demonstrate knowledge of and supervise staff so that practice is consistent with the agency’s Clinical Policies and Procedures.
7.    Oversee clinical documentation practices to meet state and contracted requirements

Supervision & Leadership
1.    Provide effective leadership in hiring, training, supervising and evaluating staff

Program Management
1.    Develop and maintain systems and relationships to maintain budgeted utilization for program services. 
2.    Participate in Program Budget Development and Monitoring of Revenue & Expenses
3.    Reporting and Program Oversight

Professional Development and Training
1.    Provide comprehensive, timely training to new staff and ongoing professional development for program staff and interns. 
2.    Lead team diversity and cultural competency efforts.  Provide resources, training and activities to promote culturally competent practice and integrate consideration of cultural dynamics in supervision, training, consultation and documentation.
